Beginner and advanced divers will enjoy the challenges near Land's End. Visibility ranges are from 30 to 50 feet, from January to June, to over 100 feet from July through December. In front of the Arch, in between Sea of Cortez. and Pacific Ocean, the range is 75 feet, this is recommended for advanced divers only.
The North and South Wall are also popular canyons with steep granite walls and ledges 100 feet down. The Sand falls, an 85 foot dive originally documented by Jacques Cousteau, starts at Pelicans Rock and drops an amazing 3000 feet. This canyon makes the San Lucas Bay among the deepest bays in the world.
